The Champ de Mars Racecourse holds a special place in both the history and present culture of Mauritius.
During the races season, every Saturday the Champ de Mars Racecourse is filled to the brim with thousands of Mauritians cheering and betting on favourite their horses.
Founded by the Mauritius Turf Club, which happens to be the oldest turf club in the southern hemisphere, Champ de Mars was also the place where the Declaration of Independence was signed and it is still celebrated every year at the same place.

This tour is a Half Day (5 Hours) and you can choose to spend a few more hours if you would like. Extra hour charges is € 12 per hour and can be paid directly to our chauffeur.
