Lying around the middle part of the island on the Central Plateau, Alexandra Falls is one of the most magnificent viewpoints existing locally. To reach this place you need to go towards Grand Bassin to the village of Plaine Champagne and search for a sign pointing towards it.

Present at the area are also several benches along with trees covering them which offer a rather cozy and beautiful place for having a family picnic. After walking several metres from the parking lot, you will arrive at a wooden bridge that has to be crossed after which you will surely be astounded by the amazingly beautiful view of the south east of the island laid before your eyes. If you venture on the other existing paths, you will find yourself at the source of some of the most majestic waterfalls of the island.
